1. Are Wi-Fi cameras a good option? NO! They are cheap for a reason. They are very susceptible to interference and easily hacked, and have very limited features.

  2. Do you use Wi-Fi cameras? Absolutely not. All of our cameras are “hard wired”. Generally we use the single cat 5e/6 ethernet cable to each camera. The single cable provides both power and video.

  3. Does your equipment require monthly fees? No. There are no subscription fees with the equipment we use.

  4. Does our video store to a “cloud”? No. Your video feeds are YOURS. They store to YOUR local recorder for YOUR access only 24/7.

  5. Can I view feeds remotely on cell phone? Yes. Good internet is required at both locations (where your recorder is located, and where your are trying to access from).

  6. Can I put cameras on separate buildings? Yes. As long as there is power and a semi-line of site to main building. We use special equipment to “bridge” outbuildings.

  7. How long does the video store on the recorder? Depends on Hard Drive size. We usually suggest 2-4 weeks, but can store many months with larger drives.

  8. Do the cameras work at night? Yes. Cameras have very good night vision. If there is enough ambient light, they will do color at night, otherwise they do infrared mode.

  9. What types of cameras do you have? We use various types. Most common is a fixed lens bullet or turret style. We also have PTZ, Varifocal, and Deterrent cameras.

  10. Does the CCTV system “alert” your phone? It can be setup to send alerts when “human or vehicle” is detected.

  11. How do you view the cameras? Generally the recorder connects to your TV or monitor, and can also be viewed via cell phone or tablet.
